Helping Hands Missions continues to grow and reach out to many areas. We have partnerships in several countries, including Uganda, Bolivia, Mongolia, Macedonia, Mexico, and Venezuela. There are many ways you can use your skills and talents for the Lord. We can arrange for individuals, small teams, or large teams to join us for mission work in any of these areas. The fields are white for harvest, and the workers are few. If you would like to join hands with us, please email us at chiromd@helpinghandsmissions.org.

You can help someone hear the gospel for the first time. There are many people in third world countries who cannot read, and have never heard the gospel in their own language. You can help reach these people by purchasing "MegaVoice," a handheld solar-powered player, which tells the story of Creation and Jesus. We need these in Swahili, Spanish, and Quechua languages. The cost ranges from $40-$80 depending on how many is purchased. Please email us at chiromd@helpinghandsmissions.org if you can help with this need. Thank you!

The Face of Cochabamba, Bolivia, South America
In April, Helping Hands hosted a team of 45 people, representing three churches. We did "Servant Evangelism" in Kara Kara, a garbage dump community in Cochabamba, Bolivia, going door-to-door to distribute bags of sugar and rice. The people's hearts were open to hear the gospel as we gave the food, explaining that we were sharing the love of Christ in a practical way. This was only one of the mission adventures that we had during the week - Please email us at chiromd@helpinghandsmissions.org if you would like to be a part of our Helping Hands team - through financial support, prayer support, or going to the mission field!

We received tragic news from Busia, Uganda recently. This is the
village in Eastern Africa where we have been doing mission work for
several years. The village has
suffered from severe weather, and on April 9, a storm with heavy winds
destroyed the new church that we have been building.

Mongolia is a country you may have heard mentioned in
conversation -but only in a negative sense –
Someone may have said, “If you don’t change your ways, I’m going to send
you to Outer Mongolia!” Well, there actually IS an Outer
Mongolia and we were there in July 2007!

Meet Aisha....
Aisha is 13 years old and lives in the village of Busia, Uganda, in Eastern Africa. Her mother and father are both dead, and she lives with her grandmother. She has one brother, and 5 sisters. She currently attends Busia Calvary Baptist Orphan School, where she is provided a free uniform, school supplies, periodic medical check-ups, and one meal daily of beans and porridge. She is very bright; her favorite subject is English, and she is able to speak English well. In fact, during a recent trip by Helping Hands to her school, she served as one of our translators! At home, she helps out with washing plates, sweeping, and fetching water. Her dream is to be a nurse - but this will not be easy without our help. She has no money now to even pay to attend elementary school, and thus has very little hope for any further education.
We are happy to report that thanks to our supporters, Aisha now has a sponsor! But there are many more who are still waiting for someone to reach out a helping hand...
