Pastor and Leader Training

With new churches being planted in countries where Helping Hands is working, there is a great need for pastor and leader training. 

Helping Hands provides training seminars free of charge to church leaders in third-world countries where pastors and leaders have little access or resources to study the Bible.  We offer teaching conferences, taught by qualified and experienced pastors and leaders, in several formats.  We have formal 2-3 year training programs, and also offer periodic 2-4 day conferences on relevant topics for Christian leaders.   We  provide study materials and training tools to pastors and leaders, including Bibles, study tools, DVDs, Bibles on tape, commentaries, concordances.  We have also provided “talking Bibles” in native languages as a resource for village churches, where many of the members cannot read.

Isaiah Scholarship Program

Many times, Christians are called to serve the Lord in their native country, yet they have no financial means to study and prepare themselves for service.  Through our Isaiah Scholarship Program, we help students through edification, encouragement, and financial support.  Our scholarship recipients are nominated and selected by missionaries serving in the designated areas.   Criteria evaluated includes financial need, educational achievement, personal character, and spiritual maturity.   We help native students attend Bible College or seminary in preparation for full-time missionary service or to serve as pastors.  Supporters may sponsor a student for one or more years and communicate with the student if they desire.
