Emergency Relief Food Basket

Your help is needed in these overwhelming circumstances

An extended drought has caused food shortages and inflated prices on basic items in Uganda. In a effort to help families impacted by this unusual situation, Helping Hands has assembled an "Emergency Relief Food Basket" containing rice, flour, beans, sugar, and cooking oil for $45. If you sponsor a child through our ministry, your purchase will go straight to them quickly. We have made this a priority for our staff. If you would like to purchase additional baskets or simply make a donation, we will use these additional funds to help other desperate families in our community.

Special Note: Due to to overwhelming circumstances, we ask that only one basket per sponsored child be purchased this month. Additional donations and baskets are appreciated for other neighbors in our community affected by this situation.

An Update From The President

Dear Friends,

Your involvement in the Emergency Relief Food Basket effort has impacted the community in a significant way! Because of your gifts, 798 families have been given temporary relief in a difficult situation. The food shortage in the Namuwombi area is not over, but it is continuing to improve and we are evaluating how best to minister to families on a monthly basis. Thank you for your continued faithfulness to partner with us among those in great physical and spiritual needs.

We also wanted to let you know that we are offering one last opportunity for you to join with us in this effort. My family and I will be traveling to Uganda in a few weeks. While we are there, we are planning to visit one of our partner schools located in an extremely remote area on Lake Victoria. Our family is planning to deliver more baskets to those in this community who have yet to receive help. We would like to invite you to help us minister to this village before we end this relief. Our last day to receive orders will be on Friday, June 23.

On the Journey,
Kevin Ross,  HHFM President
