Alternative Ways To Support Helping Hands

Updated: Oct 26, 2020

Do you enjoy being generous? Of course you do! What if you could be generous with someone else’s money? We have identified three easy ways for you to be more financially involved in supporting our ministry in your daily pattern of life.

Grocery Shopping

Shopping for groceries is a necessity for every family. One way you can support Helping Hands is through shopping at Kroger. Through their Community Rewards program, Kroger donates a portion of every purchase to the non-profit of your choice. All you must do is link your Kroger account to Helping Hands. To do so:

  • Visit

  • Sign in to your Kroger account (or create one if you do not currently have one).

  • Click on the “Enroll” button.

  • In the “Find an Organization” search box, type MG800 (this is Helping Hands Foreign Missions’ unique organization number).

  • Click on the “Enroll” button.

Now every time you shop at Kroger, you are also supporting our ministry!

Online Purchases

Who doesn’t love shopping at Amazon?! They literally have everything. Another alternative way to support our ministry is by using AmazonSmile. When you link your account to Helping Hands, Amazon donates a percentage of your purchases to us. To shop AmazonSmile:

  • Visit

  • Sign in with your Amazon credentials.

  • Search for Helping Hands Foreign Missions (we are the one in Buford, GA).

  • Select our organization as your charity of choice.

  • Start shopping!

TIP: We recommend bookmarking on your computer as you must use it to complete your purchase in order to benefit Helping Hands. Our organization does not receive credit for purchases made through

Physical Donations

“One person’s junk is someone else’s treasure.” We are not implying that you have junk, but most of us have too much stuff around our homes and offices. We have an exciting new way to turn your excess stuff into funding for Kingdom purposes. My Purpose Thrift is a 501(c)(3) approved non-profit organization that was created to partner with local ministries to help facilitate and monetize physical donations. Items given to My Purpose Thrift on behalf of Helping Hands Foreign Missions are sold, with a portion of the proceeds going to support our mission to make disciples of Christ.

To support our ministry through My Purpose Thrift, you can:

  • Donate your unneeded furniture, electronics, clothing, etc. to My Purpose Thrift. Drop-off locations and times are:

  1. 101 Ethan Allen Dr., Dahlonega, GA 30533; M-Th 9am-5pm, Sat 9am-2pm

  2. 5043 Bristol Ind. Way, Buford, GA 30518; M-Th 8:00-4:30, Fri 9am-12pm, or by appointment

What about your ideas? We would love to hear about other alternative ways that organizations are giving to non-profits. Do you have a creative idea to engage people in unique giving opportunities? Generosity is contagious! Email us with your thoughts and ideas:
